Stories about terkabar beauty to every corner of the island, so many princes fall in love with him and was eager to marry her. To get it, they created an upheaval in the whole island. Seeing this scene, the princess sad and yearn for peace in the land. To end the chaos, Princess Mandalika immersed herself into the sea. When followers tried to find her but they just find an abundance of marine worms, which until now known as Nyale and it is believed to be the reincarnation of Princess Mandalika. Therefore, Nyale that appear every year on the beach is considered as the beautiful princess who is visiting his subjects.During the ceremony Nyale smell, you can see the villagers, local government, as well as visitors flock to the beaches to immerse themselves in this ancient tradition. The ceremony also recognized in Sumba Nyale followed by Pasola Festival.
